As Halloween fast approaches, there are several ways to get into the spirit here at Stan State in correlation with Penumbra. From an exhibit demonstrating a series of horror works down on campus in MSR, to a charity trivia event held by zoom, you can get into the holiday spirit with these creepy events. Being held by zoom from 1-2pm on October 30th will be the Halloween Spooktacular Trivia Fest Charity Event. Attendees get the opportunity to dress up in costume and participate in a series of spooky trivia questions. With a costume contest and prizes, you will be able to spend the hour hanging out and getting into the Halloween spirit. We ask that participants in the trivia competition sign up before hand and offer a donation to go to CSU Stan's Warrior Food Pantry. Sign up can be found at https://www.csustan.edu/penumbra/charity-project or by scanning the QR code on the poster below. Along with that, students can stop by the MSR building on the CSU Stan campus to check out the exhibit: The Expansive World of Horror Literature: Ghosts, Gore, and the Grotesque. Here you will find a series of display cases containing a variety of horror literature ranging from classic, modern, multi-cultural, and graphic novel and comics. You can close out your October with an introduction to several horror titles. AuthorEssence Saunders
