Autumn Andersen - What We're Watching Editor, Summer '22
Hello readers, my name is Autumn and I am excited to be a part of the Penumbra Online Blog team. I am a graduate student at Stanislaus State pursuing my Master's in English Literature. I am passionate about Penumbra and I am excited to see the ways the journal will grow and expand. I am particularly excited about blogging for Penumbra Online because of the opportunity to create in such a welcoming environment. One of my favorite things about Penumbra is the importance the journal puts on creating an inclusive and safe space for both the staff and contributors. As a Latina writer, it gives me hope for the future of publications. The staff is constantly striving to make the journal better and I enjoy the creative challenge that can bring. The Penumbra Online Blog is an exciting way for readers to get to know our journal and the staff behind it better. I look forward to sharing with you in the “What We’re Watching” blog and I hope to see you in the comments section! |
Andrea Wagner - Desk Series, Advice, and Lifestyle Editor, Summer '22
Welcome to the blog! I’m Andrea Wagner, an English Literature and Rhetoric graduate student at Stanislaus State and an avid enjoyer of poetry and fiction. I’ve been on the Penumbra team in my undergraduate days as well as graduate, so I am happy to continue working with the team and expanding what we do here on Penumbra Online. As someone who has contributed towards Penumbra since 2018, I am so excited to see the journal grow into something so interactive and accessible for all sorts of creatives. The blog in particular is especially exciting, as we are able to really express who we are and build a community with other fellow writers and artists. I look forward to seeing what we can learn from each other and how Penumbra can continue to grow into a welcoming environment for creatives of all kinds. |
